occupational therapy to support me going back to work, but the waiting lists were very long, but I knew it was a start to at least getting some help that I needed in order to embrace the world properly again.

Several months had passed and life started to ease up for me little by little. I must admit, I hadn’t realised how much my body and mind had taken through my ordeal.

My parents and I had thoroughly bonded during this period of time, and it had helped me in so many ways to gain my life back together. Don’t get me wrong I had tough days too, such as not being able to get out of bed and having huge anxiety attacks, but the counselling sessions really helped me to start healing within and outside of my body.
