Afghanistan has been a country that has notoriously been in turmoil over the last couple of centuries. The country has faced numerous oppositional leaders and changes due to either political or geographical warfare leaving the land and the people war torn, confused and in upheaval. This book was put together originally as dissertation entry for my MA in English Literature and then I decided to share it as a book. Originally it began as an analysis and research paper of how certain voices had been lost in translation throughout the 21st Century from Afghanistan. Originally the key texts which I proposed to analyse focused on the male and female characters within the novel, however, as I delved deeper into the first chapter of the book it became clearer that in fact it would be the male characters who would be my clear focus of a lost voice within my chosen texts.
