ending, one can certainly see that Busfield’s novel certainly does indeed question the impact the West has upon the natives of Afghanistan and ask whether this is indeed a positive relationship or a negative one? Is it a relationship of harmony or of control? Busfield’s text allows us to feel that we are presented with an aspect of Afghanistan that the other texts did not allow us to fully explore.
