I had been single for some time and had done the usual clubbing and dancing seen over the years. I was frequently getting ‘sloshed’ shall we say in the local gay bars and heading into work late, doing what work I could with a soberish head and heading home again. I carried on like that for some time and getting by like that. I got quite the reputation for the being the ‘party boy’ in the office, perhaps people were envious of my stamina to be able to party hard. I had various partners, short time boyfriends or shall we say acquaintances but nothing serious till I started dating Sean.

Everything was going well when we first started dating. We had a lot in common and got on really well. I’d often stay at his place as it was still awkward bringing my personal life into my family home.
