used my savings to buy things so that it would feel like our place rather than just his. It hurt me that he would just destroy all my hard work like that in seconds, without a thought or care in the world.

What was worse was when he decided to kick me out of the house. The worse part was he enjoyed doing it.

The first time he did it; he totally forgot we had a spare key under one of the outside flowerpots. When I tried to open the door with the spare key, he came lunging at me with all his strength and might to kick me outside again.

I must admit I thought he would cool off; but he didn’t.

I stayed outside on the cold pavement of our home. Thankfully it wasn’t raining. It was cold, but nothing I couldn’t endure.
