It has been over two months now since the coursework scandal. Things have settled down within the English Department. Simon has kept a low key profile although it is obvious he was under a lot of scrutiny for a while.

In the outside smoking area.

Simon: [Sighing] Come on, you better finish your cuppa. We got those plebs next. Simon takes the last drag of his cigarette and breathes out his smoke fumes. He glances at the other smokers around him who look tired and bewildered just like Mary and himself.

Mary: That’s a first! [Starts giggling] Normally it’s me telling you to move your arse to class! Got a date have we? [Laughing to herself]

Simon:
